Nuzyael 6, 730

The party outfits for the trip to Kaldor via Moleryn. While shopping, they answer a cry for help from a child. The child leads them down an alley when they are cornered by Sadao and some of her men. They are forced to divulge all the information they know about the death of Hollo the Ratcatcher and asked to leave town.

That night the intrepid heroes arrive in Moleryn, looking for a caravan to the East. The inn is populated mostly by legionaries of the VI Legion of Tharda, and owned by a veteran of an old republican legion. The main topic of conversation seems to be the impending possibility that the VI Legion will be disbanded.

Dwilith is able to find a merchant, Feben of Yarasin, who is taking a fur caravan across the Salt Route and would not object to the party's company on the road.

Nuzyael 7-11, 730

The party arrives at Moleryn at dawn to find the caravan getting underway. They are introduced to the caravan master, Ector of Yarasin, Feben's nephew and Linis of Grest a mercenary captain in their employ. They also meet a mysterious woman traveling with the caravan named Kelandra.

Two days of uneventful travel followed. On the third night – 9th of Nuzyael however, Ardeth awoke to find Ector missing. After Linis refused to send his men to find him, Ardeth, Dwillith, Sir Arlen, and Rakir went to find him. They tracked him to a Gozyda village, along the way finding several strange wagons.

Returning to investigate the wagons, they discovered that they belonged to a family of Night People (gypsies) led by a man named Sokai. Sokai knew the Gozyda chieftain and agreed to use his influence to help free Ector, but for a price. Feben reluctantly agreed to the price – his best furs – and Ector was recovered with out incident.

On the 11th of Nuzyael the caravan arrived in Taztos. Ardeth spent some time examining a few of the barrows surrounding the site, and heard a tale of lost treasure from one of the legionaries. The party left a message for Bevan in the message tree outside the fort. Sir Arlen was offered the hospitality of Sir Herric of Cantonam, the commander of the garrison, and the party was allowed to stay with-in the keep that night, much to the annoyance of the rest of the caravan.

Nuzyael 12-20, 730

The caravan traveled uneventfully for three more days. By afternoon on the third day, a number of Tulwyn were seen shadowing the party, and just before sunset they attacked. Feben was mystified by the sudden attack: the Tulwyn usually demand tribute for safe passage, and respect it once paid. The attack was not particularly ferocious, and all members of the caravan did their best to defend themselves. Dwilith and several others were wounded, and five Túlwyn were killed. Ardeth managed to heal a few of the wounded before the caravan set off again.

The next day a party of Tulwyn arrived to collect their tribute. They offered no explanation for the attack except boredom.

The rest of the journey was uneventful.

The caravan arrived at Trobridge on the 20th. We learned from Terlin of Wensindan that he knows Bevan but had not seen her for some time. We also learned that Rathbar, was responsible for an attack on Kurson of Ondailis, a local strongman.

Towards the end of the journey Kelandra became friendlier to the party. She eventually told Ardeth that her father had been a senator in the old Thardic Republic. But her strange behavior continued. Dwillith observed her leaving Trobridge and walking along the river.
